Newmarket Community Church
We are a faith filled Christian family serving God through the Holy Spirit, in worship, education, and missions. We will reach, care and share in loving fellowship supported by prayer.

Pastor Joshua Gray was called to serve as the pastor of Newmarket Community Church in April 2008. Josh graduated from Andover Newton Theological School in May of 2007. Before coming to Newmarket Josh served as the Assistant Minister at First Parish of Westwood for two years.
Josh grew up in Natick, MA and was home schooled until his junior year of high school when he began attending Natick High School. Josh was active in the community and was involved with the Boy Scouts for many years, earning the rank of Life Scout. Josh graduated from Framingham State College with a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Spanish.
Josh has a vision for ministry that is centered on building a relationship with the church and on bringing people into closer contact with God through the preaching and teaching of the gospel, through contact with other faith traditions, through mission and social action and through deeper connection with their own faith community. In his ministry he strives to reveal God’s love for each of us in ways that bring hope in the face of doubt and joy in the face of sadness. He hopes to help the church see God’s mission for the world and hopes to bring people into a relationship with God, with one another, with the wider church and with the world in ways that glorify God.
Josh is also deeply committed to mission work and it has been a part of his life for over 16 years. When Josh was 12 years old, he went on his first mission trip to rural West Virginia where he worked with 200+ other volunteers to help repair the homes of people stricken by poverty. It is through his experience of mission work that Josh received his call to ministry and developed a deeper sense of his faith in Jesus and the church. In recent years, Josh served as the Chair of the West Virginia Work Camp Committee from the First Congregational Church of Natick, MA helping to lead a group of 30+ youth and adults to the work camp. Josh has also led youth and adults from First Parish in Westwood on trips to North Carolina, Biloxi, Clewiston, FL and Neon, KY.
In his senior year of high school, Josh met his wife, Annie, and they were married on July 19, 2003.
Annie went to Boston College where she received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and then went on to get a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University. Annie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked mainly with adolescent boys in a residential programs and currently works at Exeter Hospital in the Oncology Department.
Josh and Annie are the proud parents of Caroline, Jackson and Ryan. These three kids keep them both busy and on the go.
Josh and Annie are sports lovers who have a special affinity for the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics. Josh played basketball and volleyball in high school; Annie ran track, played basketball and was a standout cross county runner and softball player.
