Advent Devotions Gathering

You’re invited to join in reading Richard Rohr’s Preparing for Christmas: Daily Meditations for Advent. Pastor Patty will host a weekly reflection gathering on Mondays from 3PM - 4PM.

Rohr’s Meditations for Advent encourage us beyond a merely sentimental understanding of Christmas as “waiting for the baby Jesus” to an adult and social appreciation of the message of the Incarnation of God in Christ.  In his short daily reflections and prayers, Rohr invites us to examine how God enters the world through vulnerability, humility, waiting, and incarnation. He challenges us to notice the places where we are called to surrender control, release what burdens us, and make space for transformation.
